In the realm of residential architecture, a home designed by ArchitecTor embraces the colors, textures, and views of the natural environment by integrating abundant indoor-outdoor living spaces and effectively creating an environment that lives much larger than the contained floor area.
Tor Stuart Principal Architect
Tor knew from a very young age he wanted to become an architect. Fueled by his boundless creativity and inspired by nature, he masterfully blends the two into innovative and beautifully designed homes. He earned the prestigious Master of the Southwest award in 2016 and became an HGTV Pro the same year where one of his collaborative designs won the Ultimate Outdoor reward.
Tor completed his degree from Washington State in 1986 with a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies. He then went on to study at the University of Oslo, and the Architecture Association of London, focusing on green architecture and sustainability. Following an internship with John Pela & Associates, he became a licensed architect in 1994, then founded ArchitecTor in 1997.
His company has since completed hundreds of custom homes, as well as multifamily developments, office complexes, fitness centers, and post offices. ArchitecTor has projects all over the world from Mexico to Norway and in a dozen US states including Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Texas, Florida, and Hawaii.
“Above all, I believe that a house can and should be a work of art you can live in– as well as an enduring expression of each clients aesthetic. It’s all about creating a successful design relationship where we fuse their vision with our creativity.”
